In Nigeria, 32 people are killed and 80 are severely injured and fighting for their life , in a blast.
Red Cross official quoted, “Thirty-two people were killed and 80 have been injured“.
At a market in north-eastern Nigerian city of Yola, an explosive device went off, says the humanitarian agencies. Though the culprits hasn’t yet identified officially but armed group Boko Haram has claimed the responsibility for the blast. Boko Haram has carried out attacks on Yola in the past which includes a number of bombing and suicide bomber attacks too.
It was around 8 pm as per the local time when the blast was reported.
The explosion happened in the midst of a large crowd because the area houses a livestock market, an open-air eatery and a mosque,” AFP quoted Red Cross official Aliyu Maikano as saying. “Our main preoccupation now is to save the injured.”
As per a witness “he ground near my shop was covered with dead bodies. I helped to load 32 dead bodies into five vehicles.”
it was late October, when the last Boko Haram attacked north-eastern Nigeria, when separate explosions in Yola and Maiduguri killed at least 37 people.
